In 17 seasons we accumulated a repertoire of over 40 new operas of various lengths representing over 30 composers in over 100 performances in Greater Boston Area venues and nationwide.
One of the first companies to turn to virtual programming, we have been live streaming since 2013, and continue a robust menu of virtual offerings from streamed performances, opportunities to connect with artists, and opportunities for artists to connect to each other.
For 11 seasons we were an ensemble-in-residence at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, a partnership which yielded 15 world premiere operas.

Say It Ain’t So, Joe! by Curtis K Hughes on an independent label (October 2011).
We have additionally received ArtsImpulse Theatre Awards for Best Opera, Beowulf (2016) and Gallo (2014) and for Best Music Direction: Beowulf (2016), as well as awarded Best Opera Company by The Improper Bostonian magazine (2012).

2022:
Aliana de la Guardia was selected to attend the Nonprofit Learning Institute (Bank of America and Philanthropy Massachusetts), a competitive program that selects only 20 nonprofit organizations from a broad cross-section of the nonprofit sector in MA.
Aliana de la Guardia & Guerilla Opera was selected for the Creative County Initiative ChangeMakers (Essex County Community Foundation), a leadership support program that selects a cohort of ten cultural leaders within Essex County.
Guerilla Opera was accepted as a Boston University Arts Administration Class Project, where a team of Master’s degree students worked on developing a short-term strategic plan to support our mission over time and continue our growth.
Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce selected Aliana de la Guardia as one of the 10 BIPOC Business Leaders You Should Know.
Guerilla Opera makes changes to annual giving levels and membership structures to address societal and cultural inequities.
The Guerilla Underground Streaming Series evolves to include works by artists who are and who are championing works by BIPOC, Women, and gender-diverse creators.
2021:
Created The Guerilla Underground Streaming Series
Created Guerilla Labs and Guerilla Writing Collective, professional development programs for artists.
Engaged in interactive educational partnerships with Haverhill Public Library and the Perkins Braille and Talking Book Library.
2020:
Introduced Guerilla Labs
Increased streaming and virtual events.
2018:
Introduced an annual gala entitled “Emergence”
Introduced new outreach initiatives to support a deeper and interactive experience for patrons who are blind and visually impaired

Launched an accredited course at Boston Conservatory at Berklee entitled “Guerilla Opera – Writing for Chamber Opera,” which has continued through current seasons,
