Guerilla Opera Welcomes New Leadership and Expands Team to Strengthen Community Engagement and Marketing

Guerilla Opera is proud to announce the appointment of Yooree Losordo as Interim Executive Director, alongside Samuel Beebe as Community and Education Manager and Mia Joseph as Marketing Coordinator, marking an exciting new chapter for the company.

These new roles come at an exciting time for the organization as it continues to grow its outreach, enhance its innovative programming, and deepen its community impact. With their diverse backgrounds and extensive experience, these new leaders will help propel Guerilla Opera's mission to redefine the operatic experience and engage new audiences.

Yooree Losordo brings a wealth of experience to the role of Interim Executive Director, with a background in network operations, entrepreneurship, and creative leadership. She currently serves as the Director of Network Operations at Radiotopia from PRX, overseeing a podcast network known for supporting independent creators. Yooree's diverse career includes roles as the founding Managing Producer of TRAX, a podcast network for tweens, and an accomplished theater artist who performed at TADA! theater. Her expertise in ideating, launching, and scaling businesses, combined with her passion for creative entrepreneurship, will support Guerilla Opera’s continued growth.

Samuel Beebe, a composer and sound designer, will serve as Guerilla Opera’s Community & Education Manager. Samuel has a deep commitment to using music and sound to engage communities and challenge perceptions. He brings a range of experiences, including collaborations with Lex Brown on Carnelian and his dystopian opera Biophilia, produced by Stony Brook Opera. Samuel holds a Ph.D. in composition from Stony Brook University and is passionate about teaching, working with incarcerated students through Merrimack College’s Jail Education Project. He will play a key role in expanding Guerilla Opera's educational outreach and fostering community connections.

Mia Joseph, Guerilla Opera’s new Marketing Coordinator, is passionate about connecting audiences with impactful experiences. Mia brings extensive experience in event coordination, marketing communications, and audience engagement. She has successfully overseen event logistics, organized promotional campaigns, and created content to boost visibility and increase donor engagement. Mia’s creative approach will enhance Guerilla Opera’s digital presence and engagement across multiple platforms.
