Guerilla Opera, in collaboration with the Perkins Braille and Talking Book Library, presents multisensory listening experiences on “Listening Thursdays.” By engaging a combination of senses, these virtual events offer a deeper and richer experience using taste, smell, touch and movement to enhance the emotional impact of music from brand new operas!
Enjoy experiencing puppetry through motion while listening to “Rumpelstiltskin” by Marti Epstein. This opera is about a magical and tragically disfigured little man who only wants one thing in life, unconditional love.
You will get to meet the composer and ask questions! For this experience, please bring hand-held items that are different textures and shapes - something smooth, something square, something rough or something misshapen or warped. Clear off your desk top, because we’ll be puppeteering together!
