Guerilla Opera, in collaboration with the Perkins Braille and Talking Book Library, presents multisensory listening experiences on “Listening Thursdays.” By engaging a combination of senses, these virtual events offer a deeper and richer experience using taste, smell, touch and movement to enhance the emotional impact of music from brand new operas!
Experience the musical “crunch” of “GALLO: a fable in music” by Ken Ueno. This opera investigates how the landscape and man shape and transform each other and asks the fundamental question: “which came first, the chicken or the egg?”
You will get to meet the composer and ask questions! For this experience we ask you to bring a favorite food that reminds you of your childhood. Don’t worry if you don’t have time to prepare or bring your favorite food. Imagination can be equally as strong and you’ll still get to share with the group.
