“The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage” a new opera based on the New York Times best-selling graphic novel by Sydney Padua, by composer Elena Ruehr and Pulitzer-prize winning librettist Royce Vavrek!
This is a concert premiere of excerpts of music from this comedic new opera in which Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage, the true-life unsung inventors of the first computer, successfully use their new invention “The Difference Engine” to "fight crime" in an alternative universe.
There will be a brief pre-concert discussion with the composer and prize-winning librettist with a reception afterward to meet and mingle with all the artists!

Guerilla Opera’s performing ensemble includes mezzo soprano Alexis Peart as Ada Lovelace and baritone Michael Galvin as Charles Babbage, with tenor Omar Najimi, soprano Erin Matthews, Rane Moore (clarinet), Lilit Hartunian (Violin), Stephen Marotto (cello), and Mike Williams (percussion).
